Members of the Liberty High School football team met with Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott after Cowboys practice at the Ford Center on Tuesday and presented him with a pair of customized Redhawks cleats.
All 10 of the FISD football programs were part of a Nike social-media contest in which each school tweeted out a picture of its customized Nike shoe. The team with the most retweets got to meet Elliott after practice and present him with a pair of their team’s shoes.
Liberty players watched practice Tuesday and then gathered around Elliott, some on the field and some in the stands, for the presentation. Elliott greeted the players, thanked them for the shoes and wished them good luck this season.
