The FISD divers put on a great performance at the first meet of the 2018-2019 swimming and diving season during our home meet on Thursday, September 27, 2018 as part of the FISD Sprint Invitational.
FISD divers from Centennial, Frisco, Heritage, Independence, Lebanon Trail, Liberty, Memorial, Reedy and Wakeland dove very well.
A few highlights of outstanding performances from the girls include a second-place finish by freshman Olivia Nelson from CHS; Eva Brinkman from WHS broke the previous six-dive school record with 185.30; Julia Anderson set a new six-dive record for LTHS with a score of 152.25; a fifth-place finish by Peyton Guziec, a freshman at MHS, and an eighth-place finish from Karsen Van Dyk of RHS.
FISD boys also had a great meet with Harrison Kaster of CHS placing 2nd, only 0.5 points out of first. Zach Ogden of WHS and Max Truty of IHS round out the top-5 finishes with all nine FISD boys divers scoring points for their respective schools.
