Frisco ISD Divers Continue to Achieve Personal Bests, Set School Records

On Oct. 11, Wakeland, Memorial and Liberty competed against Lovejoy in a six-dive meet. Eva Brinkman scored a personal best of 222.15 to seal second place for Wakeland against Lovejoy. Peyton Guziec of Memorial scored a personal best of 188.10 to win the meet between Memorial and Liberty.

Zach Ogden, senior from MHS placed first against Lovejoy with a score of 183.45. Tristan Negrete, freshman from MHS, placed first followed closely behind by Ocean Alto, also a freshman from MHS against LHS.

On Oct. 13, FISD divers competed in the Dick Wilson Memorial Invitational Meet in Grapevine. This was the first away meet for our divers, and the first time in the season some of them had the opportunity to compete an 11-dive list. In the Boys six-dive event, Tristan Negrete of Memorial placed 3rd and Ocean Alto of MHS placed 8th. In the girls six-dive event, Morgan Coughlen of Reedy placed 3rd, Bailey Robirds of RHS placed 5th, and Autumn Kniering of RHS rounded out the top 10 finishes.

In the Girls 11-dive competition, Eva Brinkman of WHS placed 9th, Peyton Guziec of MHS placed 12th with a score of 322.50 -- setting a school record for 11 dives -- and Olivia Nelson of CHS placed 13th with a score of 320.90.

In the Boys 11-dive competition, all FISD boys finished in the top 15. Harrison Kaster, senior from CHS, placed 6th with a score of 299.80.
