Heritage High School junior Trinity Williams got a wonderful surprise Wednesday morning when she was presented with a $10,000 scholarship from the Fuel Up to Play 60 program and DairyMax.
Cowboys defensive lineman Tyrone Crawford was on hand at Heritage to present Williams with a check after her soccer practice.
“I’m shaking,” Williams said as she was cheered by her soccer teammates, Heritage teachers and administrators and representatives from the Cowboys and DairyMax. Fuel Up to Play 60 is a nutrition and exercise program offered by the NFL and the National Dairy Council.
Williams began participating in Fuel Up to Play 60 activities eight years ago. Last year, she was selected to be the Texas representative for Fuel Up to Play 60 at the NFL Draft in Arlington. Her role included speaking to kids at a Play 60 skills event, interviewing draft picks and going onstage at AT&T Stadium to announce a pick.
